Littovia Children's Data Notice
This notice explains why Littovia handles children's information in the California pilot and how access is scoped across schools, teachers, families, and platform operations.
Why we process children's information
We process children's information to support student and guardian records, school-administrator health, attendance, status, and authorized-pickup workflows, teacher-created class posts, school announcements, and one-to-one teacher-family messaging.
If information is not needed for an enabled school-family workflow, it should not be collected or kept as a permanent required field.
Information scope
Children's information may include names, class assignments, guardian relationships, health and allergy details, school-administrator attendance, status, and authorized-pickup records, class-feed images and captions, consent records, and student-linked communication records.
Visibility rules
Teachers can access assigned classes and authorized family conversations but cannot access the administrator attendance or pickup workflows. Principals can administer student, class, guardian, health, attendance, status, authorized-pickup, and account records for their own school but are not normal participants in private teacher-family messages or the class feed. Platform administrators are limited to platform configuration, authorized account support, and security operations and are not normal viewers of child content.
Families can access linked students. After archive, a family keeps a default 30-day visibility window unless the school closes access earlier.
Security measures
Parent and teacher mobile sign-in uses passwords protected by automated-abuse verification, and mobile data access requires a current trusted-device proof. Administrators use authenticator-based multi-factor verification in the web dashboard. Database policies enforce role, school, class, and guardian boundaries. Selected administrative and security events are recorded for investigation; notification previews are minimized to avoid exposing child details on a lock screen.
Deletion and correction
Families may submit account deletion, access, or correction requests. The requester must prove control of the account email, and requests involving children's records require guardian-authority and school-record review before deletion, correction, restriction, or retention decisions are made.
