Littovia Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Littovia handles information for the California kindergarten pilot, including adult accounts, student records, class posts, family-school messages, notifications, and security records.

Last updated: July 15, 2026

Information we collect

We collect school and class information, adult parent and teacher account data, student profile and guardian-link data, health and allergy context, attendance, status, and authorized-pickup records maintained by school administrators, teacher-created class posts and photos, parent likes and saved-post choices, direct messages and receipts, consent records, device sessions, push notification tokens, support requests, and security verification records.

Children do not create or operate Littovia accounts. Child-related information is limited to the school-family workflows enabled for the participating school.

How we use information

We use information for account verification, school and class administration, guardian relationships, administrator-managed health, attendance, status, and authorized-pickup workflows, class posts, teacher-family messaging, notifications, security investigation, support, and service reliability.

We do not sell student or family information, use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use children's information for advertising unrelated to the participating school's service.

Access and sharing

Platform administrators are limited to platform configuration, authorized account support, and security operations; their normal role does not grant access to child profiles, class-feed content, or private teacher-family messages. Principals can administer student, guardian, health, attendance, status, and authorized-pickup records for their own school, but their normal role does not grant access to private teacher-family messages or class-feed content. Teachers can access assigned classes and their authorized conversations. Parents can access only linked children, authorized class posts, and their own conversations.

Service providers may process information only to operate the platform, including cloud hosting, authentication, database storage, email delivery, and push notification delivery.

Storage and retention

Information is stored in cloud systems protected by role, school, class, guardian-relationship, multi-factor, and trusted-device controls. Original class-feed images have a limited access window and are blocked from normal retrieval after expiry; compressed copies may remain available while the post and viewer relationship remain authorized.

Graduated or transferred students move into an archived state. Families keep a 30-day visibility window by default unless the school closes access earlier.

Your choices and California rights

California users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their own account-related information, and may ask how personal information is handled and shared.

Submitting a request does not immediately erase school records. If a request touches children's information, we verify the requester's identity and authority, coordinate with the responsible school, and evaluate applicable retention duties before taking action.
